Fairfield Elementary School sits in the heart of Amherstview, Ontario.  The JK-Grade 8 school has approximately 300 students.  Fairfield is part of the Ernestown Secondary Family of Schools.  Most students live nearby and are able to walk to school, with a few students takings bus transportation.

Students at Fairfield ES are encouraged to strive for academic excellence and leadership achievements, along with involvement in sports, athletics, and extra-curricular involvement.  The school has an emphasis on healthy and active living, and encourage students to volunteer and contribute to both local and global endeavours.

Fairfield Elementary School is proud of the partnerships with Faculties of Education, St. Lawrence College, and Ernestown Secondary School.  Student placements from those educational institutions allow for learning opportunities for Fairfield students.  Other partnerships that benefit students include those with the Loyalist Township Parks and Recreation, Lion’s Club, and the Amherstview Sharing Centre.

At Fairfield Elementary School, a variety of learning opportunities are provided which contribute to the intellectual, social, cultural, and emotional development of each child.  Staff members stress co-operation and effective communication and believe that quality education is to be a shared commitment between the home and the school. These educational experiences, including the teaching of non-violent conflict resolution strategies, encourage each child to acquire the self-esteem and self-discipline to meet the rigours of the curriculum, and to treat individuals and their belongings with respect and dignity.
