Supporting Students & Learning at Fairfield ES

School Council at Fairfield Elementary
Posted on 09/08/2019
The School Council at Fairfield Elementary School is made up of parents and guardians of children from a variety of grades.  These parents/guardians meet 6-8 times during the school year to learn about what is happening at the school, to provide support through fundraising, and by organizing school initiatives and events.

Each meeting includes updates from staff and administration, as well as opportunities for discussion about various initiatives to support the school and student learning.  A fundraising goal is generally set at the first meeting of the year.  Previous fundraising goals have included a 3-year school yard revitalization project, technology for classrooms, and the installation of white boards in all classrooms.

All parents/guardians are welcome to attend meetings that are held in the School Library from 6:00-7:30pm, one Tuesday each month.  Meeting dates will be posted on the website calendar.

The first School Council meeting will be held on Tuesday September 10th at 6pm.  Everyone welcome and free child care provided for school age children.
