Food & Fitness for Grade 6 Students

YMCA Partnership
Students in Mrs. Zarzecki's Grade 6 class started the first in a 5 part Food and Fitness series, in partnership with the YMCA.  Students learned about food preparation including safe food handling, as well as how to prepare and cook healthy and delicious meals.  Today the students made delicious buddha bowls with fresh vegetables and made-from-scratch dressing.  After 100 minutes of food prep and cooking, students were active in the gym learning about different activities and the importance of engaging all muscle groups.

Thank you YMCA for partnering with Fairfield Elementary!  We can't wait for session #2 in a couple of weeks!
